Senior Executive, Liner Operations, Singapore Operations
(Singapore)

Responsibilities:

  • To manage the handling of incoming break-bulk shipment for local and transshipment consignment (from quotation of rates and coordination with third party contractors to oversee the smooth cargo operations from discharge to clearance and loading to vessel)
  • To attend pre and post-operations meeting (on request from customers) and/or witness, and supervise where required to ensure operations are carried out successfully
  • To coordinate and escalate any vessel crisis management involving ships and/or containers to operations manager
  • To constantly establish a standard operating procedures and constantly make recommendations for improvements to existing process and/or in a most cost-effective manner
  • To constantly review the vessel operation flow process and initiate change to fine-tune any inefficiency
  • Invent, develop and monitor efficient and cost effective vessel
  • Support the boarding officers (when away from desk) attending to customers/vendors/contractors’ inquiries, handling ship spares transfer to the office, endorsing contractors documents for application of permits to board the vessel to carry out required services, etc. and able to communicate effectively with the boarding agents towards error-free services to all internal and external stakeholders
  • To be the focal point for PSA terminal and vessels for any exception operations involving vessels and is expected to activate contractors to carry out required operations within the shortest possible timeframe and align with the urgency of the operations, with zero service failures
  • To complete verification/approval of Daily Running Costs (DRC) invoices for the first level hierarchy, in SAP, within 2 working days
  • To act as a Singapore focal point for HSE matters reporting to Malaysia Custer HSE personnel
  • To raise agency fee from supply vessels for boarding and related services rendered, within 3 working days from vessel departure from Singapore
