In line with our expansion plans and commitments for growth, we are now seeking to recruit high caliber and dynamic professionals to be based in our Plantations.
Responsibilities:
Smooth running of all vehicles within budget
Manage and take full responsibility of the movement and allocation of light and heavy vehicles for various activities and jobs.
Proactively control and monitor vehicle turn-around time and take prompt action on deviations from planned activities.
To develop a vehicle maintenance plan in coordination with the workshop
Proactively manage the vehicle maintenance with the workshop based on the needs and availability
Monitor maintenance cost of vehicles and take corrective action where required with the workshop
Develop a network of vehicle supplier / contractors from whom the company could hire and rent heavy and light vehicles when required
Monitor the daily operating and performance records of vehicles and to take corrective action where required (Mileage/kilometre, no of trips, cost per kilometre, fuel consumption).
Establish benchmark for fuel consumption and tire usage and to monitor the performance against these and to take action for non performing vehicles
Establish operating cost per unit of operation (cost per km or metric ton) and monitor the same against actual on a monthly basis
Establish benchmark for fuel consumption and tire usage and monitor the performance against these and take action for non performing vehicles
Successfully implement a GPS tracking system for all the vehicles
Be in charge of managing the CPO and Kernel dispatch
Ensure no delays in dispatch or penalties for late deliveries
Implement relevant EHS improvement program to meet company objective and target, communicate the EHS requirements to related subordinates, and ensure related contractor comply with the EHS requirements
Requirements:
Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor's Degree in any field.
At least 5 year(s) of working experience in the related field is required for this position.
Preferably Managers specializing in Logistics/Supply Chain or equivalent. Job role in Management or Logistics.
